Sophie Boulanger is the co-founder and CEO of BonLook. Since its inception, the company has aimed to improve the accessibility of prescription glasses in the goal of creating a must-have fashion accessory with an unbeatable quality-price ratio. Initially launched online, the company now has 35 stores and plans to reach 40 stores in Canada by 2020. The strength of this model differentiates BonLook from other retailers in the field of optics in Canada. Today, BonLook defines itself as the ultimate destination to build a covetable eyewear wardrobe featuring styles designed in Montreal.
Prior to founding BonLook in 2011, Sophie completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at McGill University, along with a Masters in Fashion and Design Management at SDA Bocconi in Milan. She held various positions in retail and fashion at L’Oreal, Christian Dior Couture, Jacob and Groupe Germain. Under her leadership, BonLook was recognized by the Bronfman Foundation and C2MTL as one of the most innovative startup in Quebec in 2013 and has won three Boomerang awards, including the 2015 Jury Grand Prize.
