Mathieu has over 18 years of experience in the venture capital, private equity and business valuation sectors. He is currently Senior Director for the Venture Capital and Technology Growth Portfolio at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and provides global technology coverage. Prior to joining the Caisse, he was Director, Investments at Anges Québec Capital, where he was responsible for the development and management of a portfolio of innovative companies across the province. He also worked at Investissement Québec as Director, Major Accounts, where he was responsible for a $1.7 billion portfolio with major clients such as Bombardier, Rio Tinto, Cascades, Labatt and Keurig. Previously, he was a portfolio manager at Telesystem, a family-owned holding company that was a global leader in the telecommunications industry.
Mathieu currently sits on the board of directors of several companies such as Talent.com, Dialogue Health Technologies (TSX: CARE), Poka and Glutenberg group. Mathieu has also served on several boards, including Ecobee (sold to Generac Holdings Inc. (NYSE: GNRC)), Ivara Corporation (sold to Bentley Systems) and X2O media (sold to Barco Visual Solutions Inc.).
