Chanel Damphousse

Principal, MacKinnon, Bennett & Co.

Chanel is a Principal at MKB, a private investment firm that provides growth capital to companies at the forefront of innovation in the next generation energy and transportation sectors. She joined the firm in 2013, and in her current role, leads investment sourcing, transaction execution, due diligence, and contributes to portfolio-company management. Chanel is actively involved in various finance, audit and HR committees and acts as an observer on the boards of Communauto and Sense.

Before joining MKB, Chanel gained extensive experience in real property investments and government procurement as an investment analyst for the government of Canada’s Real Property Branch. Chanel is a volunteer with Fondation Montréal Inc.’s start-up grant program, she is involved with various initiatives of the private equity industry association, Réseau Capital, and was President of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation’s Young Leaders Committee. Chanel holds an MSc in Applied Financial Economics from HEC Montréal and a BComm in Finance from the University of Ottawa.
