Overview

  • Brian heads up corporate-to-startup engagement advisory as part of McKinsey’s Fuel practice. As part of this, he advises corporate clients on why startup engagement matters, how best they might engage with startup and what ‘good looks like’.
  • He serves clients across sectors, is a leader of McKinsey’s global Innovation in Banking group and has led the Firm’s knowledge development efforts on corporate-to-startup engagement capability building and engagement approaches.

Education and previous experience

  • Brian holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a BS in Physics from Tufts University
  • Previously, Brian worked as a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley, a venture-backed startup founder / CEO in the Internet of Things (IoT) space and as Head of New Ventures, North America at Konica Minolta where he led startup partnering and Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) activities.
