La Financière agricole du Québec has formed an investment branch, Capital Financière agricole inc., to provide profit-making projects that develop the agricultural and agri-food sector with venture capital, thereby contributing to economic development and job creation in Québec.

Venture capital for development projects:

Capital Financière agricole (CFAI) can draw on a $26 million partnership fund for investment in targeted sectors.

CFAI is active in the agri-food sector, particularly processing and distribution projects leading to the creation of market outlets for agricultural products. We can also become involved in projects upstream from the primary sector and in agricultural projects.
