
Geneviève Morin

Geneviève Morin is the chief financial and corporate development officer of Fondaction, the Fonds de développement de la CSN pour la coopération et l’emploi, where she also holds the positions of assistant to the secretariat and treasury of the board of directors, secretary of the executive committee and member of the development capital investments and other investments committees.
In 1996, when the Fonds began operations, Ms. Morin initially held the position of coordinator of administration and financing before being promoted to the financial and corporate development division in February 2000.
At Fondaction, Ms. Morin is responsible for financial statements, budget, asset distribution and risk management, as well as for the periodic valuation of investments. Manager of a team of four employees, she is also in charge of investments in specialized funds and the development of partnerships. In addition, until December 2008, she oversaw the management of Fondaction investments on financial markets. She continues to monitor a portfolio of shares of Exchange-listed Québec companies.
Originally from the Québec City area, Ms. Morin holds a BA in economics from Concordia University and an MBA in finance from HEC Montréal, in addition to having completed the securities broker course. Before joining Fondaction, she worked for a dozen years for the Mouvement Desjardins in communications, cooperative development and credit.
