Christian Roy is Vice-President, Investment, Montréal and Southern and Western Québec at Desjardins Capital. His duties include designing and implementing investment projects in his sector that are aligned with the strategic plan of Desjardins Capital. His team is made up of 20 investment professionals who make sure to understand the issues and needs of Québec entrepreneurs so as to implement an optimal capital structure for their business partners. He is also responsible for coaching Desjardins Capital investment managers.
In addition to closing transactions, Christian monitors investments and represents Desjardins Capital as a shareholder in several major files.
He joined the Desjardins team in 2000, where he successfully completed numerous secured or subordinated financing transactions as well as majority and minority equity investments in a large number of Québec companies.
Christian has over 20 years of experience in businesses financing and has also worked as a commercial account manager for the Desjardins Business – Rive-Sud service centre and for a leading Canadian bank.
Christian holds a Bachelor of Finance degree from Université de Sherbrooke and is also a member of the Ordre des CPA du Québec.
