André Dessureault is currently Director, Legal Affairs, Investments, at Investissement Québec. In this capacity, he leads a team of professionals who provide legal services to the corporation and its subsidiaries in investment transactions (equity) in order to support the achievement of objectives in terms of efficiency, profitability, portfolio quality and client service.
Previously, he held various leadership positions with Quebec-based institutional investors, including Desjardins Capital, where he was involved in the management of several investment-related services, including due diligence, market analysis and legal oversight of investment transactions.
He has more than thirty years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and in the financing of Quebec companies. He was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1987 after completing a Bachelor of Law degree from Laval University in Quebec City.
André was a member of the board of Réseau Capital for a few years and served on various committees before being elected Chairman of the Board from 2014 to 2016.
