Based in Montreal, Marcos is a Senior Partner and co-Head of McKinsey & Company’s Global Institutional Investing Practice. He advises institutional investors, including global sovereign wealth funds, endowments, and pension funds, on a range of investment strategies, liquid and illiquid asset class strategies, governance, risk, and organizational issues.

In the past 15 years, Marcos has extensively researched leading trends across the institutional investing landscape globally. He is the author of From big to great: The world’s leading institutional investors forge ahead, the result of a global benchmarking initiative of large institutional investors representing collectively more than $7 trillion in capital. Marcos also authored The best of times and the worst of times for institutional investors: How institutional investors should adapt their strategies to the changing investment landscape.

Marcos is on the Advisory Board of the National Pension Hub Advisory Council, as well as on the Board of CEM Benchmarking, the world’s leading benchmarking organization for institutional investors. Marcos holds an MBA from INSEAD (with distinction), a BCom from the John Molson School of Business, and is a chartered financial analyst.
