
Fany Boucher is a Partner in the Transaction Advisory Services group working in the Montréal office. She specializes in both buy-side and sell-side due diligence, and has led the overall due diligence process—from multi-billion dollar cross-border transactions to small and medium entity buy-outs and minority transactions.
Fany’s experiences include deals in technology and traditional industries. Fany had the chance to work with several private equity funds throughout her career, such as Carlyle, Permira, Hellman & Friedman, Apax, TCV in the US and Novacap, Birch Hill, Caisse de dépôt et placement, Fonds de solidarité FTQ, Kilmer Capital, Wynnchurch, BDC, White Star Capital in Canada, among others.
Before re-joining the EY family in the Montréal office, Fany worked in due diligence for another Big 4 accounting firm and for the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, a labour-sponsored private equity fund. From 2005 to 2008, Fany worked for EY in transactions in the Silicon Valley (California) with a short-term secondment in their Paris office. Prior, she spent two years in CGI’s corporate finance department, working on acquisitions, divestitures and outsourcing contract modeling. She started her career at Arthur Andersen.
Fany received her Honours in Accounting and Graduate Diploma in Accounting from McGill University (Douglas Mellor Award), and is a member of the Québec Order of Chartered Accountants. She is also a Chartered Business Valuator in Canada. She is fluent in English and French, with basic Italian knowledge.
