Anne-Marie Bourgeois

Partner, Intellectual Property-Backed Financing, BDC

Anne-Marie Bourgeois is a Partner with BDC Capital’s Intellectual Property-Backed Financing. She brings more than 20 years of operating and investing experience working with knowledge-based companies across Canada. Most recently, she was Vice President, Investments at EnerTech Capital. Prior to that she worked at Sustainable Development Technology Canada, with an affiliate of FondAction and with several engineering firms.

An active member of the venture capital community, her areas of expertise include the broad space of hardware and software technologies in the advanced manufacturing, cleantech, advanced materials, IoT, electronics and agtech sectors. She currently sits on the board of Réseau Capital.

Anne-Marie has an expansive network of financial and corporate partners around the world. This will be helpful in supporting the community of IP-rich companies in pursuit of global expansion.

Anne-Marie has a Bachelor of Science degree with a Specialization in Hydrogeology, a Bachelor of Social Science degree with joint Honours in Political Science and Public Policy from the University of Ottawa, and a Master’s in Public Administration and International Management from the Université du Québec – ENAP.
