Karen Simeone joined HarbourVest in 2018 to focus on private credit investments.

Prior to joining the Firm, Karen spent eight years at TCW in the Direct Lending Group (formerly Regiment Capital’s direct lending team) where she was a managing director. At TCW, Karen managed all aspects of the investment process in private middle market loans including sourcing, evaluating, structuring, underwriting and managing secured debt securities of sponsored and non-sponsored middle market companies. Karen previously worked at Stairway Capital and HVB Group. Karen began her career at J.P. Morgan as part of the leveraged finance group and later became a member of the high yield research team.

Karen received a BS from Georgetown University in 1998 and studied at the London School of Economics.
