Geneviève Bouthillier began her career in various corporate finance positions for Bell Canada as well as for The Videotron Group. She then joined the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec where she worked in venture capital in the telecommunications sector.
From 2005 to 2019, Ms. Bouthillier served as Assistant head of Investment at Fondaction, a fund of more than $2.5 billion. She was responsible for a team of investment professionals as well as an investment portfolio in private companies.
Since 2019, she has been Managing Director, Lead – Quebec Relationship Investment, at the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec, a long-term institutional investor with net assets of C$327 billion. She is responsible for the capital allocation and value creation in Quebec companies. She sits on several boards of directors of private companies and NPOs and is involved with several organizations that aim to promote women’s entrepreneurship.
Ms. Bouthillier has a strong academic background with a bachelor’s degree in international finance, a M.Sc. in finance, the CFA professional designation and the title of Certified Corporate Administrator (CSA).
