Eric Michaud is a Managing Director for Deloitte Corporate Finance Inc. in Montréal since January 2015, providing M&A advice and capital structure solutions for the Quebec and Maritimes corporate mid-market. Prior to joining Deloitte, Eric served as Managing Director at Scotia Capital where his key focus was leading and executing potential M&A transactions for TSX-listed corporations, and delivery of financing and capital structure related solutions. Before joining Scotia Capital in 2005, Eric also worked at Merrill Lynch & Co. for 7 years in the Canadian investment banking group. He has led and managed all aspects of M&A mandates for a combined value of over $24 billion in various industries (mainly utilities, industrials, TMT, forest products, financials), presenting with broader teams at Board and Special Committee meetings, undertaking due diligence, and handling negotiations directly with clients. Eric has worked on a number of global mandates, giving him International experience in Montréal, New York, Paris and Toronto. He began his career with Deloitte in 1991 in Toronto where he qualified for the CA and CFA designations.
