Win Bear focuses on helping Canada’s leading innovation companies reach new heights. As SVB’s Head of Business Development in Canada, Win leverages the entire SVB platform for clients who range in development from early-stage to public. Working with tech companies across Canada, Win connects companies, market influencers and both Canadian and U.S. investors who are looking for bold investment opportunities on both sides of the border. He is truly passionate about growth and scale for his clients, one foothold to the next.

Win has been with SVB for more than 10 years, supporting the Carolinas region and leading sales efforts in the Boston market. He thrives on building a brand, growing a client base and making connections in new and growing markets; Win has been doing exactly that with a focus on Canada — home to some of the world’s leading innovators — since 2014.

Win earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s in business administration from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. When not engaged in building SVB’s Canadian business, you’ll find Win in the great outdoors — diving deep (as a certified SCUBA diver) and soaring high! Win began a quest to climb all 46 Adirondack High Peaks, and just a year into his quest, he’s more than 25 percent of the way to becoming an “Adirondack 46er.” Win lives with his wife in Boston, Massachusetts.
